Valve bags

VALVE
BAGS

Valve bags are designed for quick and efficient packaging of powder products.
A valve system located in a corner of the bag allows it to be filled using a wide range of bagging equipment, after which it can be automatically closed when full.
The bag base is folded, glued, and reinforced.
Valve bags are mainly used in the following sectors:

  • Building
  • Chemicals
  • Mining
  • Food
  • Seed production

Valve bags are available in two types:

  1. Internal, self-sealing polyethylene valve
  2. External valve

MATERIALS

Our bags are made from one to four layers of paper.
The paper can be white or brown, usually with the exterior layer white and the interior layer brown.
One of the interior layers can be polyethylene film and one or more paper layers can be polyethylene coated.
On request, each layer can be micro-perforated to allow air to escape while filling the bag.
The external layer can be treated with an anti-slip coating on request.

Paper density ranges from min. 70 g/m2 to max. 120 g/m m2.

The polythene layer on coated paper varies from min. 15 g/m2 to max. 30 g/m2.

The HDPE film (Cartene) varies from min. thickness 10 µm to max. 50 µm.

PRINTING

We have a latest generation flexographic printer that can produce a high quality, high definition print with up to 6 colours. The result is an optimum quality, full colour photographic quality print on the bag.
The design is printed directly on the roll with the machine off line, allowing a higher precision printing and greater quality control.
Printing on the bottom of the bag is performed in the production line, with maximum 2 colours.

TREATMENTS APPLIED

Micro-perforated:
Each layer is individually perforated with fine points during paper production, making them permeable to air. This allows air to escape easily and facilitates automatic filling processes. The smallness of the holes and their offset positioning prevents the escape of the bag contents.

Slip-proofing:
The outside layer of paper can be treated with an anti-slip coating to increase its roughness. This makes the bags less slippery when stacked on pallets with improved stability compared to untreated bags.

Lamination:
Lamination is applied to the external layer of MG paper. It is a transparent coating that highlights the bright printed colours, while also functioning as a slip-proof treatment.

Our printer implements the latest-generation flexographic process to produce high resolution prints in up to 6 colours. The result is top quality, full color, photographic grade bag printing.
The sides are printed directly on the paper rolls, off the production line, for high precision and quality control.
Bag bases are printed on the production line in a maximum of 2 colours.

SPEED

Our company can deliver bags in record time while maintaining the highest product standards. This is in part thanks to being a smaller, less-cumbersome organization with more flexibility, agility, and dynamism.

PACKING

Our bags are packed in wads from 10 to 25 items each and then stacked on pallets by an automatic pallet packing machine.
Pallet sizes vary according to bag size in the range of 100 × 100, 110 × 110, or 120 × 120. EPAL 80 × 120 or 100 × 120 are also available on request.
Pallets can be covered with stiff cardboard to keep the wads in contact with the pallet boards level for even stacking, as required.
Pallet heights can be varied according to loading constraints and the customer’s preferences.
All our pallets are covered with a sheet of paper and a rigid wooden top layer.
Pallets are always restrained with polypropylene strapping.
The outside is wrapped with stretch film for additional protection during transport.
